Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Construct new molds, prototypes, models, and related tooling from engineering or part drawings as required
- Maintain and modify existing molds and fixtures
- Document hours worked on each specific job by posting on daily time sheet
- Offer suggestions and ideas to help improve the efficiency and economic performance of tooling that is build and maintained at the company
- Help maintain a flow of ideas and a sharing of knowledge to increase the level of expertise in toolroom, including raining of apprentices
- Help maintain cleanliness and order that makes the toolroom stand out
- Maintain shop equipment in first-class condition
- Provide a safe working environment
- Support and adhere to corporate mission, values, and policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Organizational Relationships:
- Directly reports to the Toolroom Manager, in addition of supporting each Medbio department as required.
Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Provide proof of journeyman’s papers or show eight (8) years’ experience in either moldmaking, machinist, or toolmaking trade required
Physical Requirements:
- Pass drug and physical screenings
