Summary of Function:
Responsible to assist the Shipping Clerk in maintaining organization, cleanliness and upkeep of warehouse, physical distribution (shipping/receiving and transportation), staging of production materials, inventory management (raw materials, components, packaging and finished goods), following safety practices and collection of data to analyze performance and continuous improvement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and shipment of product.
- Responsible to receive product and make appropriate determinations according to procedures and policies
- Responsible to charge and operate all pallet jacks effectively, safely and accident free
- Responsible to maintain organization, cleanliness and efficient use of warehouse
- Assist with inventory control and reconciling physical inventories per schedule
- Back up for the Shipping Clerk as needed.
- Work with department team leader on anything else required to maintain warehouse/ shipping/ receiving operations
- Follow all ISO procedures for department
- Able to work as a team with other Operators and Support staff
- Able to communicate effectively with all Medbio personnel, suppliers and customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Organizational Relationships:
- This position will directly report to the Director of Operations. There will be frequent interaction with Quality, Production, Customer Service & Engineering personnel.
Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work with people at different levels
- Positive attitude for continued learning
- Strong analytical skills
- Must have basic computer skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work a standard 40 hour work week with occasional overtime including weekends as a possibility.
- Sitting and/or standing for an extended period of time as well as some walking within the facility.
- Must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences and depth perception for product and safety issues.
- Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 100 feet.
- The ability to lift and carry various items up to 60 pounds.
- Pass drug and physical screenings.
