Medbio, a contract manufacturer specializing in injection molded components and assembly for the medical and Biotech industry, now has additional capacity. Medbio has purchased their fourth Arburg swivel clamp machine. It is a 28 ton hydraulic molding machine that offers a wide range of working positions. “These machines give us the flexibility to run a variety of molded parts, from over molding and insert molding with a vertical clamp position to automatic molding with a horizontal clamp position” said Ryan Heidenfeld, Medbio’s Process Engineering Manager. “We have utilized Arburg-brand molding machines for many years due to their quality and flexibility. Many of the components we produce are unique and complex. Medbio takes full advantage of Arburg’s modularity and we have been able to achieve geometries that could not be produced using customary molding equipment.”
