ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.:

  • Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of project engineering personnel as necessary to maintain the growth strategy of Medbio, Clinton Township.
  • Assist with determining the need and executing on-going training and talent development of engineering team.
  • Maintain adequate engineering coverage to support: the development of scientific molding processes and assembly processes for the products; the development of tooling, specifications, and bills of material for all new or transfer projects, and the sustaining of products in production
  • Manage the research and implementation of new ideas, processes, and technologies
  • Ensure that comprehensive qualifications/validations as well as root-cause corrective actions are being pursued by the engineering staff
  • Develop and implement procedures that increase the quality of services
  • Implement and support continuous improvement projects
  • Develop and maintain KPI in line with strategic plan
  • Actively supervise and participate in day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring proper guidance, hands-on leadership, and support to ensure successful project execution and team performance.
  • Review dimensional reports and develop action plans for tool grooming.
  • Perform any other related duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSME in Engineering or equivalent in experience
  • Preferred 8-10 years’ experience in Project Management with background in plastic injection molding
  • Strong working knowledge of the plastic injection molding process and injection mold tooling
  • General understanding of automation systems and equipment
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, MRP/ERP)
  • Strong product and tool “blueprint” reading skills
  • Very strong written/verbal communication, leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Understanding of ISO regulations with regard to design, process and document control and GMPs
  • Must be able to work and perform what would be considered standard practices for this type of position in the industry.
