MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

- Work closely with Maintenance Manager in support of a clean, safe work environment. Safety is number 1 priority.
- Primary functions to include Manufacturing Floor scrubbing / buffing / trash removal / overall cleanliness, Breakroom sweeping / mopping / trash removal / and overall cleanliness, Office area and Conference Room sweeping / mopping / vacuuming / trash removal / overall cleanliness.
- Secondary functions to include pond maintenance, clearing leaves from entryways, clearing snow from entryways using shovels / snowblower / salt, monitoring and reporting any roof damage.
- Added functions to include building maintenance-related work that does not include contractor, i.e. HVAC filter replacement, painting, drywall repair, lighting fixture and bulb replacement etc.
- Assist fellow technicians where teamwork is needed to complete other tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of standard handyman/woman experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- 1-2 years of custodial position experience
- Knowledge using floor scrubbers and chemicals for cleaning
- Knowledge of using forklift and manlift equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to wear PPE related to job specific tasks.
- Must be able to work a standard 40-hour work week with occasional overtime including weekends if necessary.
- Sitting and or standing for extended periods of time with plenty of walking on concrete floors.
- Hearing ability should be able to detect and react to audible alarms within 100′ distances.
- The ability to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds using safe-lifting practices.
- Ability to pass a drug and physical screening.
