The Controller is a key member of the leadership team responsible for managing the accounting department and overseeing the financial performance of the company. This position leads the effort to create both short-term and long-term financial budgets and forecasts, as well as leading the cost accounting process and accuracy verification.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage multi-plant accounting staff and AP/AR specialists. Serve as a central lead for all operations related financials.
- Ensure the timely and accurate month end/year end close and consolidation of results. Provide necessary financial reporting.
- Evaluate, update and oversee internal control processes. Support third party external year-end audits and internal audits.
- Manage cash and provide analysis on proposed capital and operational investments.
- Oversee management of fixed assets across facilities.
- Oversee standards setting process; provide guidance on best practices.
- Actively identify and drive implementation of cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
- Provide focus on key cost drivers and their impact on business goals and performance.
- Oversee development of operational budgets and forecasts.
- Assess risks and opportunities to deliver commitments for year-over-year growth and cash conversion metrics and proactively communicate to the leadership team.
- Provide support on projects as required.
Organizational Relationships:
The Financial Controller reports to the Director of Finance. This position has a working relationship with the operations leadership team and all functional areas of the company. The Financial Controller is responsible for supervision, mentoring, and developing all direct reports.
Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field is required. CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with standard cost environments in manufacturing, including in-depth variance analysis.
- Data driven, strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels throughout the organization.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, coordination, and time management skills
- Knowledge of Delmia Works / IQMS ERP system is preferred. Experience with new ERP implementation is desired
